Course Length: Courses may range in length from one to four marking term(s).

Description: The High School Physical Education Program is structured learning experience in which students will increase their physical competence, health-related fitness, positive self-concept, and joy in one’s physical self.  The curriculum includes a balance of skills, concepts, team, individual/dual sport activities, aquatics, dance, and adventure programming.  The curriculum also provides opportunities for students to question, integrate, analyze and apply academic concepts and learning within each physical education class.  The curriculum is designed to enhance the physical, mental, and social/emotional development of every student and promote lifelong fitness.

Assessment: Regular assessment, based on clear objectives, is used to monitor and reinforce student learning.
